Hall of Fame Criteria

A SACTA Hall of Fame Inductee shall receive a Gold SA badge, State blazer and commemorative plaque. 

Points can only be gained whilst the shooter is registered with the ACTA as a member of a SACTA affiliated club.


Down The Line

A shooter must qualify with 100 points in solely DTL events.
The year of Induction into the SACTA Hall of Fame for DTL solely is based on the year of winning first State Title.
If two people are equal on points in the same year, the competitor with a National title will enter first.
If still equal, the competitor with the most National Titles goes in first.
If still equal, the competitor who won the National Title first, goes in.

Qualifying Titles are:
State – open category only
10 points – DB, SB, PS, H/Cap, DR Champ/Champ, Team HG & OHG.
20 points – National Titles (as above) and 10 points for Runner up.
50 Points – World Championship and 20 points for Runner up.

If the State Body feels that due to illness or age etc. a member should be entered early, the Committee must vote and agree unanimously (100%).


Skeet

A shooter must qualify with 100 points in solely Skeet events.
The order of induction into the SACTA Hall of Fame is based on the total number of points earned.
In the event that two or more people are equal on points then the order of entry will be based upon the
following order:

  1. The competitor who won the earliest State title.
  2. If still tied then the competitor with a National Title.
  3. If still tied then the competitor with the most National Titles.
  4. If still tied then the competitor who won a National Title first.

Qualifying Titles are open category in:
10 points – State Titles in Skeet, Skeet Handicap, 20 Gauge, Skeet Doubles, Champion of Champion, Team High Gun, Overall High Gun.
20 points – National Titles and 10 points for Runner up.
50 Points – World Championship and 20 points for Runner up.


ISSF

A shooter must qualify with 100 points in solely ISSF events.
The order of induction into the SACTA Hall of Fame is based on the total number of points earned.
In the event that two or more people are equal on points then the order of entry will be based upon the following order:

  1. The competitor who won the earliest State title.
  2. If still tied then the competitor with a National Title.
  3. If still tied then the competitor with the most National Titles.
  4. If still tied then the competitor who won a National Title first.

Qualifying Titles are open category in:
10 points – State Titles in ISSF Skeet, ISSF Trap and ISSF Double Trap.
20 points – National Titles and 10 points for Runner up.
50 Points – Gold Medallist World Championship, World Cup and Commonwealth Games and 20 points for Runner up.
100 Points – Olympic Games Gold Medallist


Sporting Clays

A shooter must qualify with 100 points in solely Sporting Clays events.
The order of induction into the SACTA Hall of Fame is based on the total number of points earned.
In the event that two or more people are equal on points then the order of entry will be based upon the following order:

  1. The competitor who won the earliest State title.
  2. If still tied then the competitor with a National Title.
  3. If still tied then the competitor with the most National Titles.
  4. If still tied then the competitor who won a National Title first.

Qualifying Titles are open category in:
10 points – State Titles in Sporting Clays.
20 points – National Titles and 10 points for Runner up.
50 Points – World Championship and 20 points for Runner up.


Multidiscipline

A shooter must qualify with 120 points across all Hall of Fame eligible disciplines.

The order of induction into the SACTA Hall of Fame is based on the total number of points earned.
In the event that two or more people are equal on points then the order of entry will be based upon the following order:

  1. The competitor who won the earliest State title.
  2. If still tied then the competitor with a National Title.
  3. If still tied then the competitor with the most National Titles.
  4. If still tied then the competitor who won a National Title first.
